Grain and oilseed futures at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange are expected to start Friday's session firmer, with traders uncertain as to whether they should focus on the old crop month or the new crop month. Decreased commercial demand was seen as bearish for prices, floor sources told Resource News.
Expectations of a stronger opening on the CBOT today was seen as acting as support for the market, traders said.
Canola futures are expected to open steady to 60 Canadian cents higher with potential CBOT soybean gains being offset by the prospect of the end of Chinese canola buying in the 2000/01 crop year, traders said. The strengthening of the ...
