by Michael Greer, staff medical writer - Neurologic damage caused by the HIV Tat protein may be mediated by reduced expression of the neuroprotective protein CREB, researchers in Italy suggest.
G. Zauli and colleagues at the University of Chieti examined the process of Tat-induced neuronal damage to provide information on the development of HIV related dementia.
