Government delivers on promise to give 50% mandatory rate relief Sole village pubs and petrol stations in certain rural settlements will now qualify for 50% mandatory business rate relief under new regulations published today.
The new regulations mean that the sole pub or petrol station with a rateable value of GBP9,000 or less, in a qualifying rural settlement, will now receive 50% rate relief from central Government. Under this scheme local councils have the power to top the relief up to ...
