Since April is National Poetry Month, I thought we'd explore verse (written and spoken) this week. Now before you roll your eyes and turn the page, consider E.E. Cummings' "(im)c-a-t(mo)" below.
It may look unreadable at first, but it will bring a smile to your face, if you think of it as a painting. Picture the immobile cat (described in the title), asleep on a shelf or ledge. Imagine he awakes, falls, turns the fall into a leap, lands on his feet and walks away as if noth-ing ... had e-ver hap-en...ed). Enjoy.
