The Cincinnati Ballet is preparing a dance feast for this weekend. Same cook. Different dishes.

The ''Balanchine Festival'' opens Friday and has two performances Saturday at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.

Victoria Simon, an international expert on the ballets of George Balanchine, likens the company's salute to the master choreographer to ''a wonderful meal.''

The former soloist with Balanchine's New York City Ballet and now one of the few choreographers entrusted with recreating his works said the Cincinnati Ballet program ''shows three very different sides of Balanchine.''
