The arson-damaged School for Creative and Performing Arts reopened today, and the halls were buzzing about who may have set the fire.
''I can't believe anybody would stoop to doing that,'' said Misty Gilbertson, 15, a sophomore vocal and drama student. ''If a student felt that bad about the school, they should've just transferred.''
Christi Heath, 16, a sophomore vocal music art major, suspects a student angry at not making auditions for the school's music theater could be responsible.
''The teachers talk to us about rejection but some people can't handle it,'' she said.
