The 18th president of the United States has been dead 111 years; however, the name ''Ulysses S. Grant'' is part of two anniversaries this month.
This Saturday, a celebration will be held in Point Pleasant at the birthplace of the only president born in Clermont County. Saturday is the 174th anniversary of Grant's birth.
And the U.S. Grant Career Center in Bethel, named after the Civil War general, is now celebrating its 20th anniversary.
