Tipper Gore, wife of Vice President Al Gore, urged women in general and mothers and wives in particular to ''get involved in politics'' as the most effective way of shaping national policies that concern them.
''Speaking as a mother and wife, I believe it is foolish, even dangerous, not to have influence in the power structure,'' Mrs. Gore told about 350 attending a luncheon sponsored by the Jewish National Fund Thursday at the Cincinnati Flower Show at Ault Park. ''It is important to get involved in politics.''
Yet about 54 million eligible women did not vote in 1994, she said.
