Holy Cross boys' basketball coach Clay Eifert didn't know if the adversity his players faced all season would tear the team apart or bring it closer together.
He got his answer Friday when Holy Cross upset Highlands, 50-46, in the regular-season finale for both teams at Northern Kentucky University.
Highlands (18-8) entered the game
ranked No. 2 in the latest 9th Region coaches poll and Holy Cross (13-11) was in the No. 8 spot.
