A fabulous new clematis to be officially introduced at Chelsea Flower Show in May is available to Gardening Club members now.
Primrose Star has been bred from one of the most popular and reliable species,Clematis montana, but is delightfully different in both flower and growth habit.
First, the blooms open in May to reveal pale primrose petals, then they fade slowly to white with flecks of pink in early summer against the dark green leaves. The blooms are fully double and also stable - the plant does not revert to producing single flowers.
