Bush Names Cheney To Head Energy Task Force
President Bush named Vice President Dick Cheney to head an energy task force seeking ways to cope with high prices and a reliance on foreign oil. Bush said Cabinet members would participate in the task force. He pledged during his campaign to increase oil and natural gas supplies by opening parts of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling and by developing alternative sources.
