HILMAR CHEESE ANNOUNCES MAJOR EXPANSION PROGRAM
HILMAR, Calif., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Hilmar Cheese Co. today announced plans for an expansion program destined to put a major economic shot in the arm of Merced and Stanislaus counties.
News of the expansion program came with the announcement that Hilmar has signed a 10-year joint venture supply contract to provide mozzarella cheese to the Universal Foods Corp. of Milwaukee.
Hilmar will build and operate a new mozzarella production plant beside its existing factory, while Universal Foods will provide technical support, sales and marketing for these products.
