Apr. 11--BUENA VISTA, Colo.--With a dream to settle down, America's No. 1 singing cowboy Michael Martin Murphey will open his Singing Cowboy Ranch featuring trail rides, chuckwagon suppers and western music at the base of Mount Princeton, seven miles south of town.

Murphey, 56, who lives in Taos, N.M., has recorded 23 albums and has logged 22 hit singles since 1972. His hits range from "Wildfire" in 1975 to "What's Forever For" in 1982, to his most recent "Born to Buck Bad Luck" in 1998.
