Apr. 11--Carlos Bustamante, 35, and Adriana Pichardo, 31, sit in their home in Santa Ana's Floral Park area. Children of Mexican immigrants, they both are college-educated professionals.
They represent the nation's Latino middle class, examined by Frank Bean, professor of sociology at the University of California, Irvine, and Stephen Trejo, an associate professor of economics at the University of Texas, Austin for the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute.
