NORFOLK -- Francis Marion Yandle, 77, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, died Friday Feb. 28, 1997, in the Hampton Veteran's Hospital.
He was born in Scotland Neck, N.C., was in the U.S. Army for 16 years, serving in World War II and Korea, and later was a merchant seaman for more than 22 years until his retirement.
