EDENTON -- Leonard Sylvester Hare, 68, of the 100 block of Mexico Road died Saturday, March 8, 1997, in his home.
A native of Chowan County, Mr. Hare was a son of the late Brady C. and Sarah Roach Hare and husband of Mrs. Annie Martha Spruill Hare. Mr. Hare was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a charter member of the Advance Ruritan Club. He had served on the Chowan County Committee with the A.S.C.S. office.
Surviving other than his wife are three daughters, Susan Hare Youmans of Davis, Calif., Nancy Hare Vincek of Pinetops, N.C., and Wendy Hare Barker of New Bern; three sisters, Agnes Hollowell, Beatrice Griffin and Delsie Holland, all of ...
