ROPER -- Mrs. Essie Loan Norman, 69, of the 200 block of Spruill Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, in her home.
A native of Washington County, Mrs. Norman was a daughter of the late Weston and Hester Craddock Spruill and the wife of the late Bennie Norman.
Mrs. Norman was a member of Scuppernong Church of Christ and had worked as a traveler changer with the Edenton Cotton Mill.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Mertz ...
