DANIEL K. STEVENS wore his uniform to school.
But it wasn't the type found at most private schools. Rather than a white shirt, blue blazer, solid tie and dark pants, the 15-year-old Virginia Beach teen appeared at Chesapeake-based Greenbrier Christian School on Feb. 7 in full back pack, wearing a black slouch hat, moss green woolen uniform clutching an Enfield rifle and a bugle.
He wasn't there to cause a ruckus or demonstrate any war-like attitudes, the homeschooled son of Patricia and Carl Stevens was there to give the students of Gabriel Vogel's ninth grade U.S. history class a taste of what it was like for an ...
