CLARA EVANS, a 20-year volunteer with Virginia Beach Meals On Wheels, stopped by the Sentara Nursing Center last week to enjoy a reception that honored the more than 600 volunteers involved with the nonprofit organization.
Normally, Evans stops by the nursing center to pick up the meals that she will deliver to several homebound residents, but that day she drank coffee and exchanged hugs with several other Meals On Wheels volunteers.
