George Shinn began selling himself and Hampton Roads to the National Hockey League Saturday when he took an entourage to Pittsburgh to watch the Penguins host the Rangers.
Shinn said he met privately with Penguins owner Howard Baldwin, then sat with him in the owners box during the game. Shinn said it is the first of many trips he'll make to meet NHL owners before a vote on expansion, which is expected this spring.
