NORFOLK -- Nelson Nathan ``Nat'' Slavin, 84, of the 100 block of Beverly Ave., a retired aircraft mechanic, died Oct. 9, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Slavin had retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 30 years of service. Mr. Slavin was a native of Port Huron, Mich. He was a member of Temple Israel and its Men's Club in Norfolk, and attended Ytzak El Channah Yeshiva in New York. He taught at the Hebrew School in Newport News, Portsmouth and at the Hebrew Academy in Virginia Beach. He became a Mason in 1951 and attained the status of 32nd degree and received the Mary Krukin Award in 1980. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge 266 AF & AM, Norfolk ...
