OF ALL THE JEWISH high holy days, Yom Kippur, known as the day of atonement, is considered the holiest.
For Pierre and Judy Anderson, who are members of Beth Chaverim synagogue in Virginia Beach, the day represents an occasion for family togetherness and a time of sober reflection to consider and ask forgiveness of one's sins of the past year.
``It's a busy day for me,'' said Pierre Anderson, assistant principal at Great Bridge High School. He grew up Catholic but converted to Judaism in 1975 when he married Judy.
