NORFOLK -- Zella Koehl, 88, a resident of Norfolk, Va., for the past eight years, died Aug. 27, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Zella was born May 14, 1908, in Ottawa, Ohio, to William and Molly (Hornung) Roof. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Eugene Koehl of Norfolk; one son, Dr. George W. Koehl and his wife Patty of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Tim Koehl of New York City, Dr. Lisa Mooney (Dr. Eric) of North Grafton, Mass., Mrs. Andrea (Neil) McSweeney of Lynchburg, and Ted Koehl of Virginia Beach; three great-grandchildren, Katie, Ben and Will McSweeney of Lynchburg.
