On the surface, "My Fair Lady" seems a comfortable choice for Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. A witty, urbane frolic through Edwardian society, this Lerner and Loewe classic has twice before delighted patrons who've pushed away empty plates of prime rib and settled in to their seat cushions for the opening curtain.
"There's not another musical like this," said artistic director Michael Brindisi.
Close your eyes and imagine that familiar scene: see the bustle of Covent Garden with its sassy British accents; listen to those gorgeous, lyrical tunes, among the best in musical theater. Oh, and don't forget the massive library of Henry Higgins, tweedy and aromatic ...
