Apr. 10--A Midwestern staple is coming to Spartanburg.
The only question is when.
The Indiana-based restaurant Steak 'n Shake began its South Carolina expansion when its inaugural location opened at 499 Congaree Road in Greenville in February.
Steak 'n Shake's second location will open in Columbia sometime this summer, followed by a Spartanburg location before the end of the year.
"In terms of supplying a timetable, everything depends on when and where the property is being purchased," said Steve Brindle, district manager.
