Crown Media Holdings, (CRWN: Nasdaq) $19.80, up 25 cents.

Greenwood Village-based Crown Media Holdings Inc. expanded its ability to generate revenue Thursday with an $820 million acquisition of some famous Hallmark Entertainment films.

Crown will buy about 700 of Hallmark's 1,100 movie titles, including Gulliver's Travels, Alice in Wonderland, Merlin, Arabian Nights and the miniseries Lonesome Dove. Crown's control of the library will allow the company to distribute the content on the Hallmark Channel and license it to third parties.
