Now that we have seen Miller Park under actual, even thrilling, game conditions, it is time to put the taxpayers' new baseball stadium into some kind of perspective.

That is something that has been mighty hard to find amid all the sheer tonnage of newsprint and breathless hour after hour of broadcast news devoted to declaring our new $400 million ballpark really nice. We ought to be able to throw up a pretty nice shack for $400 million. What's so remarkable or even newsworthy about that?
