South Korean officials will contact Japanese politicians to demand the revision of the controversial middle school history textbook, sources said yesterday.
The government plans to send Choi Sang-yong, the temporarily recalled ambassador to Japan, back to Tokyo around this weekend so he can contact Japanese politicians. The government also plans to use opportunities to be offered by the Seoul visit of the leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, scheduled for May 1.
