Each February, New York's art audience turns its attention to two big, concurrent art fairs, this year held the weekend of Feb. 24. The Art Show, at the Seventh Regiment Armory on Manhattan's Upper East Side, hosted by the Art Dealers Association of America, drew some 12,500 people. About 20,000 people saw the Armory Show, an exhibition of cutting-edge works presented by contemporary art galleries from around the world. Having outgrown the Lexington Avenue Armory at 26th Street, from which it takes its name, the Armory Show was installed this time on piers 88 and 90 on the Hudson River in mid Manhattan.
