NEW YORK, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Rupert Murdoch, chief executive officer of The News Corporation Limited (NYSE: NWS) and Daniel Filipacchi, vice chairman of the Hachette Group announced today that News America Publishing Incorporated, a subsidiary of News Corporation, has agreed to acquire the interest of Hachette Publications, Inc., the American magazine publishing company of The Hachette Group, in the News America-Hachette joint venture which publishes Premiere magazine in the United States.
