Salsa's History on Video
After years of researching the history of uptempo Latin dance music (now recognized as salsa), Claire Wachsman, a young Cuban music aficionado, completed a film of salsa's history. On Thursday, September 28, 2000, at 8 p.m., a preview of the documentary was shown on the third floor roof at 74 Varick Street in New York City.
