Motorists slogging through one-lane traffic along County Farm Road near the DuPage County government center in Wheaton soon will be slogging around the road.

Chuck Tokarski, head of the county's transportation division, told Winfield officials Tuesday that the county is targeting the beginning of August for a four-week closure of County Farm Road near the Union Pacific railroad tracks, where the county is building an underpass.

The temporary closure will allow Union Pacific to build a temporary bridge to accommodate train traffic while a new bridge is being built for the underpass.
