Apr. 19--There will be no more genetic testing of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co. employees, but the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Wednesday it may seek up to $300,000 for each of 20 to 30 railroad workers affected.
The agency said it has settled a lawsuit against the Fort Worth-based railroad. The suit is the EEOC's first challenge of genetic testing.
The railroad in February vowed to ban genetic testing forever. That decision came shortly after the EEOC sought a preliminary injunction. The DNA test had been required for some employees ...
