Apr. 19--JACKSON, Miss.--The Confederacy and its battle emblem still have a comfortable home in Mississippi.
But image-conscious businesses might not want to share the welcome mat. Instead, they may look elsewhere to set up shop.
"It's just one more thing that could be a screening reason to eliminate a community that otherwise might be a good place to locate," said Gene DePrez, national director of global location for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
