Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA) today announced that nearly 100 employees have signed up to participate in the 10th annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure(R) on Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Comerica Park to help raise funds for breast cancer research, education and testing.
In addition to raising funds to combat the disease, the Race for the Cure event promotes awareness, education and early detection of breast cancer. Each year, more than 180,000 women nationwide are diagnosed with breast cancer.
