ARLINGTON, Texas_Gil Heredia's frustration has reached the point where he is criticizing himself for a three-pitch strikeout of Alex Rodriguez.
Striking out a perennial All-Star might seem like a good thing. But Heredia knows he got lucky.
And luck hasn't been on Heredia's side so far this season. He turned in another putrid performance Friday as the A's lost 9-6 to the Texas Rangers at The Ballpark In Arlington.
Heredia was out after just 4 1/3 innings, having allowed six earned runs and nine hits for his fourth loss of the season. Heredia (0-4, 8.85) now is tied for the American League lead in losses with teammate Jim Mecir.
