REACHES AGREEMENT WITH ANOTHER MAJOR TRANSPORTATION CUSTOMER

HOUSTON, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Kern River Gas Transmission Company, a joint venture of units of Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TGT) and the Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE: WMB), signed a letter of intent today with the Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles, Calif., for the transportation of 100 million cubic feet of natural gas per day by Kern River for the major municipal utility.
