The life and work of an adventure travel columnist has its rewards, but there is one aspect of the job I find dispiriting. Every few months, just to get them off my desk and out of my mind, I have to write about adventures that I am not welcome on - adventures for women only.
As much as I'd like to, I cannot join the wrangling women of the Bar H Ranch in Driggs, Idaho, as they lead five-day horse packing trips through the high country of the Grand Tetons of Wyoming.
