Apr. 22--ELECTRIC CAMERA DEBUTS DOWNTOWN: First, there was Coffee Pot Cam. Then, there was Corn Cam.
Now -- hold onto your hats, folks -- there's TECO Cam.
No, it doesn't show round-the-clock views of electricity traveling over power lines (Yawn).
A camera, mounted to the roof of TECO Plaza downtown, shows live views of various Tampa landmarks.
You can see the camera's view at www.tecocam.com for three-minute stints. It is way more cool than watching corn grow.
Viewers control the camera's angle; you are not at the whim of a rotating tripod.
