Apr. 25--OKLAHOMA CITY--It was a real party -- confetti and flowers decorated the tables, cake and punch was served to the guests and smiles spread throughout the crowd.
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture held a celebration Tuesday to officially mark the end of its 46-year battle with brucellosis, a highly contagious disease that affects cattle as well as humans.
"This helps liberate our economy," Gov. Frank Keating said. "Cattle are the cornerstone of Oklahoma's economy."
