ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 25 /PRNewswire/ --
SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW), announced plans today to take delivery of five re-marketed Canadair Regional Jets (CRJs) through jet manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace of Canada. The jets will be used to accelerate Delta Connection's Salt Lake City growth plan and will begin scheduled air service on June 1, 2001.
The five jets are being leased by SkyWest and will not increase the airline's overall CRJ order with Bombardier. They do, however, allow SkyWest to provide flights that would have been unavailable until early next year. The new jets will fly routes between Delta's Salt ...
