Apr. 25--Desire Louis Kafack Dontegeo knows the Lobeke forest in Cameroon better than almost anyone else.
He should know it well. The animals within the forest were the source of his income for many years.
Dontegeo used to be a poacher. Now, instead of stalking the forest with a gun, he travels with binoculars, pen and notebook. He is an ecology monitor for the World Wide Fund for Nature.
