Conjoined twins were born in Colorado last month, officials of Kaiser Permanente and St. Joseph Hospital said Tuesday.
The girls - Lexi and Syd - were born in March and are under the care of Kaiser doctors.
``The family has asked that we not release any information,'' hospital spokeswoman Ashley Robinson said. ``They are not here anymore.''
Conjoined twins are rare - about one in every 60,000 births. About 60 percent of such births are girls, and most are stillborn.
