IRVING, Texas _ Stars center Joe Nieuwendyk isn't a tough guy. He doesn't have the scars on his face, the reputation on his resume or the minutes in the penalty box.
But he is tough.
Nieuwendyk proved it again Saturday night when he returned from a knee injury to score the series-clinching goal against the Edmonton Oilers.
"He seems to be Super Joe," Stars wing Brenden Morrow said.
When Nieuwendyk's knee allows him, the Stars need to merely hold on to the end of his cape.
