The German ceramic and metal powder manufacturer H C Starck GmbH & Co KG has acquired a majority holding in TeCe Technical Ceramics GmbH & Co KG, a subsidiary of Deutsche Shell GmbH. Founded in 1989, TeCe manufactures engineered ceramics, such as seals and abrasion resistant nozzles.
Chairman Peter Kahlert commented "Intermediates for engineering ceramics have been a part of our product range for decades. TeCe supplements both our powder business and the processing and R&D activities of our subsidiary, CFI - Ceramics for Industry."
