Apr. 26--WASHINGTON, D.C.--Amid concerns about dwindling competition in the oil industry, the top West Coast executive of BP Amoco on Wednesday urged a Senate panel not to consider reinstating a ban on Alaskan oil exports.
Bob Malone, president of BP Amoco's Western U.S. business, said the company needed flexibility to export Alaskan oil products in order to cover spot contracts and streamline its distribution.
