Browsing through the questions in the Census I came to the one that asked me about my ethnic origin. Before I looked at the question I thought that it would be easy to answer, I'm English. But there was no category marked English. I could be a Britisher or Briton, but whichever I chose I was still a type of 'white'.
Interesting I thought, I'll do a bit of research and find out about these 'white' people.
Where did we come from? What's our history? Have we written any famous plays or good books? The trouble was I couldn't find ...
