TECHNION'S HARVEY PRIZE IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

HAIFA, Israel, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Benolt Mandelbrot of France and the United States, has been awarded the 1989 Harvey Prize for achievement in Science and Technology by Technion-Israel Institute of Technology at award ceremonies at the Institute's Haifa campus on June 21.

Dr. Mandelbrot is an IBM Fellow at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center, a position held by only a few dozen researchers in recognition of distinguished and sustained technical achievement in science, engineering, programming and systems.
