KILL DEVIL HILLS -- A Kill Devil Hills man accused of stabbing two Food Lion employees as they restrained him from escaping after a robbery has at least two criminal cases pending, police said Tuesday.
Matthew Gordon Bowman, 21, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Police say a robber snatched $221 from a Dare Centre Food Lion cashier's drawer at 1:30 a.m. Saturday and stabbed the employees as they tried to stop him from fleeing.
