JOHN Carron was born in Kinawley, Co Fermanagh, in 1907 and later moved to Lisnaskea.
His new townland had long since been re-named Drumbrughas because local folk were sick to death of the unkind remarks of outsiders.
Its previous name was soaked in much local history and John told me even Brian Boru had camped there on his way to another big battle. In fact, he'd taken tea at 5pm before riding off into the sunset.
